About This Tour:
Black Rhino Game Lodge is a luxury safari lodge located in a malaria-free private game reserve that lies on the western boundary of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Black Rhino Private Game Reserve has been incorporated into the 58 000-hectare Big 5 game reserve and game roams freely between the two reserves. Access to the private reserve is restricted to the safari operators and paying guests.
The thatched safari lodge lies nestled in a grove of shady Tamboti trees in a quiet corner of Pilanesberg, which was established in an ancient volcanic crater. The protected wildlife region lies in an ecological transition zone; between the dry, arid Kalahari and the lush Lowveld. The unique biosphere supports species from both ecozones.
Each elegant suite is air conditioned, has an ensuite bathroom and outdoor shower and a cozy lounge that leads out onto a patio that overlooks a busy waterhole. The open-plan main lounge, bar and dining area is elegantly decorated and the high thatched ceilings lets in gorgeous natural light.
Enjoy lazy days around one of two plunge pools after you return from the early morning game drive.

Day 1
Johannesburg - Black Rhino Game Reserve
Guests are picked up in Johannesburg and driven to Black Rhino Private Game Reserve in Greater Pilanesberg. Arrive at Black Rhino Game Lodge mid-day. Have a light lunch and relax before it’s time to depart for a late-afternoon game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Day 2
Black Rhino Game Reserve
Set off early after a cup of Tea or Coffee for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the day at the pool or relaxing in your suite. Enjoy a light lunch before departing on the late-afternoon game drive.

Day 3
Black Rhino Game Reserve - Johannesburg
Wake up early for a cup of Tea or Coffee and then depart for your last 3-hour game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Return for a hearty breakfast; pack up and be ready to leave mid-morning for a few hours at Sun City which is a short drive away. Depart mid-afternoon for the return journey to Johannesburg.
