Whale watching

cape town tour

We travel along the N2 towards Sir Lowry’s Pass where you can have a spectacular view of False Bay.

The focal point or “heart” of the Cape Whale Coast is the popular seaside resort of Hermanus, just a mere 2 hour drive south of Cape Town. It’s considered by many to be the “Best Land Based Whale Watching Spot In The World” where you can watch the Southern Right Whales basking in the waters of Hermanus. It is a beautiful town chosen by many living abroad as their second home. We will endeavor to let you see the giants from the sea, you will however, have the option at your cost to take a boat trip to see the whales at sea.

We visit the endangered African penguins at Stoney Point and if time permits we visit the Harold Porter Botanical gardens before we return back to Cape Town via scenic Clarence drive.

October 2016
"Our guide was Gert and it ended up being myself and my fiance only on the your, despite not having booked a private safari. Gert was brilliant. His knowledge of the park, animals and birds was encyclopaedic and entertaining. He had a great dry sense of humour, laid back and tried to facilitate our requests. The accommodation and food etc were nice, but the safari was just great. Highly recommended."

SEPTEMBER 2016
Three of us did the budget/economy tour and were surprised at how amazing it was for being a "budget tour". The drive to/from Johannesburg with Dez was smooth. The lodge was perfect; a really nice place and the meals were delicious. The best part of the tour was our guide, Robbie Williams. Robbie is extremely experienced and with him we saw the big 5 plus more. I would recommend nhongo to anyone!

Robbie was the most fantastic guide! He really took his time to explain everything to us and went out of his way to give us the best experience/time. Waking up for a game drive with him even after a short night was the biggest pleasure and we couldn't have asked for anything better!! Thank you so very much!!
