Day 1: Arrival & First Game Drive

Your journey begins with collection from your location in Johannesburg (OR Tambo Bus Terminal, no later than 7:00 AM) or Mbombela (Nelspruit). You will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the park entrance.

Upon reaching the Kruger National Park gate, you will transfer to an open safari vehicle for your first guided drive. The focus is on tracking herbivores and familiarizing yourself with the bush environment as you head toward your rest camp.

Arrive at the designated main rest camp (e.g., Pretoriuskop). Check into your budget-friendly bush chalet (communal ablutions). Enjoy dinner at the camp restaurant (at your own expense) and the sounds of the African night.

Day 2: Day of Big 5 Tracking

An early start as the gates open! This is the best time for predator sightings (Lions, Leopards). Your expert guide will take you along river lines and waterholes to maximize animal activity before the heat sets in.

Stop at a designated picnic or rest area inside the park for breakfast.

Depending on the season, you’ll either have a break back at camp (swimming, relaxing) during the midday heat, or continue driving through the park’s diverse habitats. Purchase lunch at a camp restaurant (own expense).

The fourth and final included safari drive focuses on large herds (Buffalo, Elephant) and the general movement of animals as they seek water and food before sunset. Your guide ensures a safe return to camp before the gate closing time.

Enjoy another evening in the bushveld at your leisure, preparing for your final morning drive.

Day 3: Final Safari & Departure

Your last opportunity for a thrilling Kruger wildlife experience. We depart as the gates open for a final 2-3 hour drive, seeking any animals missed and soaking up the last moments of the bush.

Return to camp for breakfast, pack your belongings, and check out.

Board your air-conditioned transfer vehicle for the return journey.
